Grace, Grit & Gorgeous Journals: Life Lately at Walnut Farm Crafts

Y’all… it’s 5 a.m. and I’m in the surgery waiting room at Baptist East, running on one prayer and two sips of coffee. My husband is back in the OR (again) for another fistula revision. He started this whole hemodialysis journey back in November, and let me tell you—what was supposed to be a 5-week training turned into 6 months of fistulagrams, reinsertions, and complications. But my man is patient like Job. Me? I would’ve hit the nurse’s call button with a side-eye by now. 😩

Through all of this, I’ve been right by his side—chauffeuring him to appointments, learning how to insert 15-gauge needles for home hemodialysis (whew, Jesus take the wheel), and trying to stay sane while managing my business.

In the middle of the chaos, I found some peace by designing a new collection of journals with matching pens and bookmarks. Yes, I said matching! 🙌🏾

Each pen is hand-beaded by me, with rhinestone beads and spacer beads that match the journal cover. So yes, it’s giving “put together” even when life is in shambles. 💅🏾
