Mousepads + Wind Spinners = My New Obsession 🖱️🌬️
Hey y’all!
I don’t know about you, but I am begging for some consistent warm weather! Keyword: consistent. Not this 75° on Monday, 45° on Tuesday nonsense. 😂 I’m hot-natured, so spring and fall are my jam. Once that temp crosses 80°, don’t come looking for me outside unless it’s after 9pm—with a fan in hand!
Lately, I’ve been indoors more, working on perfecting my craft (literally). Took my momma to a local craft fair last weekend and let me tell you—these events are eye-opening! I’ve learned from my crafting groups that fairs are a great way to see what’s popular locally and what folks are willing to pay. What I didn’t know was that booth fees can be anywhere from $750 to $1000 😳 just to set up at the bigger ones!
But here’s the good part—I found a vendor selling similar stuff to mine, and it gave me a confidence boost. Sis was super honest and said some days she only clears $40 after fees and working 5–6 hours. Whew. That made me really want to step my game up and expand my product line.
So far, I’ve made:
☕ 11 oz mugs
🥤 20 oz tumblers
🍴 Cutting boards (small & large)
🌬️ AND my new obsession 🖱️ Mousepads and… wind spinners!
Listen—I had never seen a wind spinner before, but now I’m hooked. They’re aluminum, come flat, and you fan them out so when the wind hits them—boom—instant 3D magic! I’ve got a few on my Etsy shop right now for $15 (linked below) and they are so cute! I’m thinking about adding personalized ones where you can put your own pics on them 👀💡
Also, check out the new mousepads I just dropped:
🐾 Paws and Shine – for all my dog lovers
👑 Empire State of Mind – for Black girl bosses building empires
🌄 Twilight in the Salvias – a dreamy sunset garden vibe
🐠 Beneath the Blue – an underwater scene that’s pure serenity
🌙 Whispers in the Forest – moody, magical, and mysterious

Oh—and I found these cute 4×6 inch puzzles that would be perfect for baby or bridal showers! I’m also working on garden flags, because it’s about that time when folks start showing off in their yards 😏
Every week I’m trying something new, pushing myself creatively, and honestly—I’m just enjoying the ride. Crafting gives me purpose, peace, and a place to let my creativity shine. ✨
Thanks for following along and supporting Walnut Farm Crafts. Y’all are the real MVPs!
