Hey y’all, I’m back at it! 🎉
I know, I know—I said last week’s post would be short and sweet, but it ended up being a whole novel. Well, this week? I’m not playing. Your girl’s been busy—BUSY—and now it’s time to get back to the grind that keeps the lights on and the bills paid.
So here’s the tea: I had a crazy productive week, designing a bunch of tumblers, and of course, I had to fulfill a special request for a tote. Y’all remember me mentioning last week that I was gonna dive into new products? Well, I did just that! I ordered a GANG of stuff—like, if you saw my shopping cart, you’d be like, “Girl, where do you put all this stuff?!” 😂 I’m talkin’ tote bags, a heat press, kids’ tumblers (12 oz), 20 oz. glitter tumblers (already designed one, and let me tell you—I am in LOVE), more sublimation ink, sublimation paper, and like, a whole warehouse worth of goodies. The list goes on and on, but trust me, I’m about to have the best craft studio in the neighborhood!
Now, let me tell you about the first tote I ever designed. It was for a very dear friend of my mom’s, whose sister just became a grandma to twins. (Now, I’m out here, patiently waiting for my own grandbaby, so whoever out there is responsible for making this happen, get to work IMMEDIATELY. 😂 Just kidding… but seriously, hurry up!) So anyway, back to this tote. It was a special order, and I was so excited (and a little jealous 😉) to design something for a brand new grandma. The joy I felt putting that tote together was real.
But y’all, here’s the kicker. When my heat press showed up on Wednesday, it forced me to open all those Amazon packages I had been avoiding. I had to make space for the giant heat press. Like, no joke, I had to rearrange my whole life just to make room for that thing! By Friday, I was sublimating my first tote bag and, yes, it took me one tote to ruin before I got it right. One. 😂 But we got there!
So here’s where things get fun. That first tote design gave me an idea for something big—I’m talking a whole line of matching products! I spent the weekend designing a few combos. First, I did a “Welcome Spring” set with some gorgeous spring vibes (flowers and butterflies, y’all!). Then, I had to hit y’all with some motivation—so I designed a set with the phrase, “Hustle Until Your Haters Ask If You’re Hiring.” Talk about bold! 💪 And then, I got real spiritual with a beautiful cross in a bed of vibrant roses and a “Created With A Purpose” banner.
Now, because of the way I was working with the design space, these aren’t exact matches, but trust me, they still look fire and complement each other perfectly!
I’ve been grinding all weekend to bring you some dope designs. So keep your eyes peeled for my next post! And look, if you have any custom requests for mugs, totes, or tumblers, hit me up!
